1903: the Wright-brothers became airborne and flew 50 meters.

15th of July 1954: First flight of the Boeing 707 (what an aircraft !!!)

18th of March 1976: Little Tommy went to Cologne Airport the first time to while away the time with his friends playing soccer, hide and seek and doing lot of forbidden things.

Cologne/Bonn - in these former days a sleepy airport - was my playground and my friends and I were often disturbed by the loud noise of incoming and departing aircraft and we tried to find out where the sound was coming from.

Daily visitors were Lufthansa with B737-100 and B727, British Airways B737, Trident and B-111, Air France came with Caravelle and B727; Charter flights with Spantax Coronados (once landed without the gears) , Hapag Lloyd B727 and SAT Caravelle.
